PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE
Sept 2010 – Present: Archigrad Professional Development Scheme – Newcastle Upon Tyne
Junior Interior Architect and Designer / Project Administrator (Voluntary)
Key Achievements:
- Successfully secured the Project Administrator role for the Archigrad project.
- Designed the interior for Monkchester nursery and family centre in Newcastle.
- Developed collaborative competition project to design and build a portable educational exhibition stand. I co-ordinated with the UCL Chemistry department and Durham Johnston School for ultimate submission to the Welcome Trust.
- Carried out a graphical re-design of the Tees Valley Architectural Study Presentation Booklet for Tees Valley Council.
- I am in charge of designing and editing the Archigrad magazine GRADmag 3.

- Responsible for the interior design and drafting of concepts and proposals for clients.

Project: Creating a new web search engine for junior architects and designers.

- Website development, design and visual branding of project search engine.
- Conducting market research and investigating the potential for international expansion into Eastern Europe.

Clients: International senior academic staff and scholars
- Designing presentational graphics for academic purposes using Adobe Creative suite.
May 2009 – May 2010: Chief Designer & Director.
Project: "Decodraw Creative Enterprise" – Newcastle Upon Tyne
- Designed and developed a hand crafted interior surface design technique.
- My concept was commercially implemented for a private client leading to the creation of a 'Flower Wall' sculpture.
- Published an article on cross-disciplinary Decodraw practice for the International Design Education Conference in Moscow. My article was translated into both Russian and English.
2004 - Present : www.annanixon.co.uk – Commercial fine artist.
- Showcase of paintings based on unique technique of painting on draped canvas.
- Taught numerous master classes and educational workshops including a 2-year educational programme called TalentGroup.
KEY SKILLS
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D Max, Softimage, Microstation, SketchUp, Adobe, Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) and iWork (Keynote, Pages, Numbers). Good working knowledge of using Windows, Mac and Linux based operating systems.
- Bilingual, fluent in both English and Russian.
HOBBIES & INTERESTS
I frequently visit exhibitions at museums and various theatres. I also read a lot of classic literature as well as engage in sporting activities in particular city cycling and badminton.
